Vancouver Island is a 460km (285 mile) island located in the Pacific Ocean, about 97km (60 miles) west of Vancouver, and 117km (73 miles) north of Seattle.
Explore the thousands of kilometers of roads and highways on the Island, between Port Hardy in the north and Victoria in the south, and Tofino to the west and Qualicom Beach to the east.
Bring your car, truck, RV, bicycle, or motorbike on one of the available ferry services, or fly in and rent a vehicle to explore the abundance of activities taking place in the local communities.

Getting Here
Car Ferries reach the Island from Seattle, Port Angeles, two places in Vancouver, and there is even one that comes down the coast from Prince Rupert in the summer time.
Victoria has an international airport. There is also several smaller airports on the Island. In addition, there is a float plane service and a Helicopter service both from Vancuver Harbour and from Seattle Harbour.

Destinations On The Island
Summer of 2019
Victoria
Victoria is the main city on Vancouver Island, and is, in fact, the Capital of B.C. Have tea at the Empress, visit a brew pub or two, scour the BC Provincial Museum, stroll along the ocean front walkways, and do a little shopping.
Qualicum Beach
Half-way up the Island is a laid back, relaxing retirement community where one can stroll along the ocean front, dine in quaint little cafes, and enjoy the subtle life of living on the island. Qualicum Beach boasts a generally calm ocean experience being on the sheltered side of the island. Swimming and Kayaking are popular activities in the summer.
Campbell River
Campbell River is Known for its excellent fishing experience. Bring your own boat, or charter a trip with an expert. This area of the ocean has plenty of inlets and islands to explore,and plenty of places for the fish to hang out and frolic.
Tofino
On the West side of the Island is a Paradise where Whale watching, Surfing, and Kayaking are popular activities. The West Side of the Island is also known for its rain forests and 1000 year old trees/
